Our outer reflection, is a reflection of our inner reflection

I had a successful Personal Training business, full client list, I was earning well with hours the fitted around the children. Yet I chose to give it all up.

Here’s a little explanation about some of the reasons why.

I chose to take a step back from the fitness industry was my every growing frustration with aesthetics.

Yes we love to feel good and for some that means fitting in the jeans we love or getting dressed and feeling sexy and confident.

BUT

I came to realize a long time ago that our outer reflection comes from our inner one

You will not retain a healthy size/weight, what ever description works for you, body with ease without dealing with the inner shit.

Doing the shadow work. Facing daemons and things we dislike about ourselves

Being kind, caring and actually respectful to our bodies

IMO that’s not:

thrashing it in a gym everyday

It’s not over restricting calories constantly

It’s not hating on yourself in the mirror

It’s not beating yourself up about personality traits and preserved ‘success’

It’s not eating a little more that you needed and feeling guilty

It’s not doing extra cardio because you ate peanut butter of of the jar or had cake

I found 2 things being a personal trainer

1: I felt massively judged all the time. I even had people comment on my shopping basket when I brought pizza. It was for my sons birthday sleep over - not that that matters!

But there’s an expectation to look and behave a particular way.

Along with judgment from others there was also a persistent over critical judgment from myself. We won’t go in to that here.

2: I know that many people will train and exercise from a place of negativity and critical self talk. Never dealing with the reasons behind why they feel that way.

We over eat in general because we use it to numb emotions and feelings.

How many times have you eaten when your not hungry but a bit bored? Just one very simple example.

When we heal the soul this need to over eat, over perform, best ourselves up ...... it goes. It’s that simple.

But actually aside from the science calories in calories out perspectives your body will function better without the high stress on the body that those types of thoughts and feelings cause.

When stress is reduced, inflammation in the body is reduce.

Your digestive system functions better.

Your hair and skin shine brighter

Sleep quality is better and you have more energy

It has this whole knock on effect

Just changing exercising to what you enjoy and I’m when opposed to punishing your body with something you hate would dramatically change the outcome. I

I DON’T want to be part of a culture that is overly judgmental and critical.

I strongly feel if you don’t deal with the head and heart work you’ll never be happy.

Regardless of what size you are and the negative cycle continues.

Heal the soul and the mind and everything else falls in to place.

Big Love
